Comment:

We have change on our net the hostname of an unix server. Our vax can't now get file by ftp from this server (a ftp command launch on the vax), the old name of this unix server was "cronos.areva.fr" but he was known in the Vax system as "cronos". Now the right name is longer (like that: cronos.ous. ....fr) and I would like to replace the old one which is now wrong by the right new name. I've looked from the string "cronos" in the parameter file on the server and I ve not found it. Could someome help me to understand what happens.
Thank you

You find the name in the TCPIP local hosttable.
$ UCX SHOW HOST cronos
or
$ TCPIP SHOW HOST cronos

to change its name or address do

$ TCPIP
TCPIP> HELP SET HOST
