Comment:
I am trying to restore a large number of files from an archive. Unfortunately many of the files have more than version number; the restore restores one version correctly but then fails to restore the next quoting ”Insufficient privilege/file protection error"

(Any one version can be restored independently but not sequentially). As I have a large number of files to restore I want to be able to do it with wild cards rather than renaming files.

Zebedee,

Please post the command that you are using. There more than a few different formats that could conceivably be considered "archives", and the correct answer depends precisely on what tool(s) are being used.
