Comment:
I'm looking for a portable lunch-box size alpha box that will run OpenVMS 7.3 or a ATX motherboard that will run the same OS and fit in one of the available lunch-box ATX frames. Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

You want a Tadpole Alphabook !
Laptop sized VMS box, however OpenVMS 7.3 is the maximum version it can run (includes 7.3-1 released august 2002, and 7.3-2 due later this year).
You can also get modular Alpha systems, motherboard, CPU etc, very do-it-yourself. (Digital Modular Computing)
You could do a lot worse than a DS10, high power in a smallish form factor.

I do have an original Alphabook1 System for sale but it runs OpenVMS 6.2 and it's located in Germany. It's fully operational except that the installed battery pack is weak. Please feel free to get in touch by email if you are interessted in buying.
