Comment:

I am going to monitor OpenVMS machines using nagios. Now their environment is based Alpha server with OpenVMS as OS. Will that make a difference if they change their hardware to Integrity servers ? Can i still monitor the OpenVMS OS on Integrity servers ? Similar to x86/ sun sparc solaris monitoring.

Thanks
Gops

What NAGIOS software are You using on the Alpha/VMS side ?

If it is just the open source NRPE server, then I don't see a problem to build it on IA64 as well.
