Hi,

I have weak eyesight and need to customize the display options for every Word document that I open. Normally I make the following changes:

1. Choose View--> Page Layout
2. Set Zoom to 250%

Can I setup Word to save these settings as my default settings? It is quite irritating to spend a minute or two to customize the view, more so because I open 10-20 docs every day.

Would appreciate any help on this?

If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel you should be able to hold down the ctrl-key and roll the wheel to zoom in and out which would be marginally quicker.

Alternatively you can reduce the resolution of your display by right-clicking on the desktop, selecting properties and then going to settings and reducing the screen resolution.

Another way is to turn on the magnifier. Go to Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Accessibility -> Magnifier or Accessibility Wizard and go through to turn on the magnifier.
All it does is make a section at the top of your screen a blown up version of what is under your mouse cursor.
