XP not recognizing Outlook 2010

Specs: Windows XP
I first realized my problem when I tried to sync my HTC EVO with my Windows XP machine. It didn't show Outlook 2010 as an email client. I also use an older version of Outlook Express for a personal email address but they are not connected. The sync program recognized Outook Express.

As I was looking into that further, I realized Outlook 2010 (32bit) wasn't showing in my "Set Programs and Defaults.." in my start menu. I even told it to set running email client when only Outlook 2010 was running. We also did a complete Microsoft Office repair from the CD and still nothing.

How can I get my computer to recognize Outlook 2010?

Thanks in advance,

Just a thought, but is your copy of XP fully updated to at least Service Pack 3? - it's one of the requirements for Office 2010.
