Worksheet object in word problem

My problem is when I insert an object into my word document. I do the Insert->Object->Excel worksheet. I can edit it and play with it as much as I want, but as soon as I click on something outside of the object, it gets converted to an image, and I cannot do anything else with it. If I double click on it I get an error that reads something like 'Server application not found. Application is either renamed, moved or deleted.' Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Can you at least select it? If so, try right click and see if it will open

I can select it, and if I do properties, it shows the picture properties thing. If I double click on the object, to edit it thats when I get "Server Application not found, please make sure it was not moved, deleted or renamed"

What version of Word do you have. I tried it in XP and had no problem I do have 95 and 97 also, so I can try it on them to see if there is a problem.

Hi angrymen, I've tried it on a few other computers here in the office, all seem to be working alright. The problem seems to be isolated to that one computer, and not related to a specific document. We've tried new documents and old. All have that problem. It would appear that word is not properly calling excel when it switches to the object editor. I will send you that document when I am back at that computer.
FYI. we did a fresh install of windows and office. The problem was there on that computer before we did the reinstall.
