when trying to install works 2000 I get an error that says setup cannot make calendar holiday registry. Then it says that it is exiting install but works 2000 comes up and is in my computer. When trying to use works task launcher it is only half there.

Are you re-installing, or is the first time you have installed Works? I'm asking because it could be that a previous installation wasn't completely removed.
Sorry I couldn't answer your question better, but I would like to make a suggestion. Have you heard of OpenOffice? It is an open-source office suite based on the source code from Sun Microsystem's Star Office. Unlike MS Works, OpenOffice is a complete office suite, more like MS Office, and is far superior to Works.
Perhaps someone else will be able to answer your specific question satisfactory.
Best Luck, Bob
