I just bought and loaded WP 2000, and it installed 8 [EIGHT!!! COUNT 'EM!!] icons in the startup toolbar. My one desktop icon for Wordperfect is enough. How do I get of the little nippers? Anyone?

Use start>run>msconfig, then go to startup and disable every program listed as one of the Corel/Wordperfect programs.

Thanks very much, capt.
When I got to startup, there were only 2 Corel items: REGISTRATION (which I left alone) and CorelCentral Alarms. I undid alarms, and all those silly little icons went home.
BTW, from boot, WP loads in 7 seconds, and once it's in memory, 3 seconds. That's handy for a full-bore wp like WP.

You are welcome! I could see no reason to have the registation in my startup list, so I disabled it. I registered it during the installation, so what is the point. I have never understood why programs that startup so fast are included in startup.
