Hey fellow techs,

I have a user with a newer Dell Optiplex that I just did a clean install of xp pro, office 2003 pro, WP12, and some little stuff like java, flash player, etc.

the problem is Word is NOT saving any changes. mainly autotext and customizing toolbars with specific buttons in specific places. I have updated everything microsoft related, and there are no viruses or spyware/adware on this machine. I also did the lame little office repair deal from the install of 2003. all other parts of office work fine with no problems.

I have all the same config on my machine on my desk and it works perfect as it should.

any ideas at all as to why it wouldn't save any changes? oh, also, it is not profile related I am sure.

thanks for any leads on what I need to work on fixing with this computer.
Chuck

is 'prompt to save changes to normal.dot' ticked in Tools, Options, General?
