Word Files Corrupted

i am getting problems in opening MS World files.Whenever i open these files,there is strange kind of text like some code instead of original text of file. These files are very important to me.i am very much worried. please help me. i will be very thankful to u.

Are you using word to open the files?
It may not neccesarily be corrupted if ...
you are double clicking on these files to open and word is not installed ... or if it needs to be reinstalled does the files have characters like this in it ÐÏࡱá ?

Hi basit.
You can try to recover the text by doing this.
Open
Files of Type
Click on right arrow to get the drop down list of file types.
Scroll down the list and click on -
Recover Text from any File
If you get a result resave the file under another name.
PS - you can also try clicking on other file types such as Word .doc or .txt etc to see if they will work.
