I know of no way to recover the password...

I have use various password crackers for various things in the past, and they do work...

I did some research, and I can't even find out where Word passwords are kept, but it does NOT appear to be in the SAM database...

Here are 2 suggestions...

Google for the phrase...ms word password...you will find a number of commercial programs, usually around $20-30 each...one of them will probably do it...

Trial versions usually show the first 2-3 characters of a password, just to show you that they can work...perhaps if you downloaded a trail version and it shows you the first 2-3 characters that might "jiggle" your memory enough...

Also, you might try a prog called Cain & Able...google for it, it's free, but I don;t know if it will find a Word pw...

Good luck
Steve
