Word 2003 Won't Open Docs

Hi, The problem is that when I try to open a document with my word 2003 it comes up with an error saying : "The File **.doc is not available"... if it helps it doesn't open files with other office components such as Power Point , Excel and every thing else... every component comes up with a different error.. the excel says that the virus scanner found a problem with the file.. and I don't have any enabled anti virus on... help me plz... tnx
