Very frustrating problem. Every 5 or 6 lines that I type in any Word 2003 document, it hangs with an hourglass; sometimes for 5 seconds, sometimes as much as 1 minute. Here's the details/what I've tried:
-The documents are on the local C drive. -Same thing happens in safe mode, other user accounts, and when I run winword.exe /a from the command prompt. -I've deleted all "normal.dot" files. -I've run Office repair. -I've reinstalled Office 2003. -I've deleted Office 2003 registry entries at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word. -I've uninstalled my printer.
These are all the solutions I've found Googling this problem. Anyone else have any other ideas? Thanks!
