Just got new computer with XP loaded. I have Word 2002 on the old computer, Is it still good with XP or would Word 2003 be worth the upgrade? I also have OpenOffice but am finding it rather hard to set up to meet my special needs. Thanks.

Go with Word 2002; I am using it under Windows XP SP2 as part of Office XP, that I installed concurrently with the operating system, and never got any problem.

I'd stick with 2002. I was using Office 2000 Professional on my XP Pro machine and that worked fine. I then upgrated to Office 2003 Professional, but have found it to be a bit of a disappointment. There are a few new features but nothing to justify the cost of upgrade.

I would expect that the differences between 2002 and 2003 would be even less, so I'd stick with what you've got.

I'm not young enough to know everything.
