When I click on tools, letters and mailings, then envelopes and labels the mail merge opens. But when I click the book icon for delivery address, which normally went to Outlook contacts, a window opens to inform me that Word has crashed and must close. It has been working fine for years. This was a sudden event. Can anyone give me an idea? I am using Word XP (2002) and Outlook 2003.

A Mail Merge using Outlook Contacts should be started from Outlook, not Word.
Why are you running two different versions? I'm not surprised there is a conflict there.

I've been running Outlook 2003 for years now with no conflicts. It is a better program that 2002.
I was shown this was the way to print a label or an envelope may years ago and it has worked fine. You are suggesting I should do this directly from Outlook. Can you explain how to do this in simple terms? Thanks.
