How do I stop Word2000 from wanting to connect to internet every time I start Word? Word won't continue to launch untill I allow it to connect. It also happens when I use Windows Explorer and right click to do something.

Sounds as if you have a trojan or something, I have had this but have never allowed connection, usually after the request I can no longer navigate to web pages as my Internet connection is no longer recognised, a re-boot cures this. As you have allowed this I would scan your PC with Spybot Search & Destroy and AdAware 6(available free) and delete what they find offensive. Watch what you delete with spybot.
