Windows XP, Outlook, will not delete

We can not get it to delete ANY messages. it was working a couple of days ago, and now it is not. there are no error messages. Help?

How large is the pst file? What version of Outlook are you using?

What version of Outlook are you using?

The default location for the pst is C:\Documents and Settings\userID\Local Settings\Application data\Microsoft\Outlook
