I have MS Word from Microsoft Office XP. My Problem is that when ever I run the program, the windows installer always runs for a moment, then the app continues to run like normal. I have been having this prob for a whiole, I have tried reinstall, detect and repair, (and restarting :)) Whats wrong? How can I fix it? Thanks!

What kind of install are you doing? Typical, Custom, or a Custom/Complete install?

Do you have more than one account on the computer???...
Couple of ideas... 1. Office XP installes under one profile and then it is "re-installed" under additional profiles on the same computer... If Windows installer wants to finish the install, let it continue...It does not actually install Office 2 times, it just seems like it...
2. Go to supportmicrosoft.com and down load all the latest critical files...you may have an older version of the installer...
