A friend of mine created an account with outlook express to retrieve her emails and forgot to check "leave a copy of message on the server". She deleted all her emails from outlook express and also emptied the deleted folder. Now she needs some of her emails back, I did some research and I found out there are few paid software that do recovery deleted emails. I am thinking of a free and easy way to do that is use the system restore and back up to before the deletion. My question is: will system restore get the deleted emails back? or, Is any other way to get them back without purchasing any recovery software? Any help will be really appreciated.

System Restore will not recover data. It restores the System State only.
There are programs available that will recover the data, but the most important thing is do NOT generate any computer activity, as the more data that is written to the drive increases the chances that the location of the deleted emails can be written over.
