|I don't know if it's the best way, but I learned everything I know by hanging out in forums reading the questions and answers. |
Eventually I tried (in the privacy of my own home) trying to find solutions to the questions using a combination of the Excel Help files, Google, and other forums.
Once I was confident that my solutions were "usable" I began posting my answers. After that it just snowballed until I was answering more questions and learning a little more each time.
This has worked for both formulas and VBA.
For a lot of questions I don't "know" the answer, but I usually know that there is a function (or combination of functions) that will solve the issue, so I play around and Google around until I come up with something that works.
There are hundreds of books on Excel and probably just as many on-line courses, but I can't make any recommendations since I've never taken a course or read a book.
