Hi,

I seem to have defaulted to Asian fonts in word XP. I dont know if it is linked but Ive also had problems recently with viewing photos embedded in word that OK originally but it then decided that there was insufficient memory to view them when i open the file.

Any ideas please..........and how can I get rid of asian fonts default

Asian fonts huh. do you still have english fonts?

you set the default font in word by Format/Fonts choose the font and other specs and hit the default button.

Graphics display in word. insufficient memory? what do you have running in the background? Are you sharing files on the internet?

Cheers LL......language is already set at english. When i go to Format/font i can see Latin text and asian text font at the side of the selection box!

Photos are just two small pictures inserted in with text......but an error message says insuffiecient memory to show pictures.

i just sent you another copy of normal.dot from office 2000 pro.

I spoke too soon. Nomad. Better check your virus definitions and set up a regular scan.

You might also want to employ AdAware

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

and SpyBot

http://security.kolla.de/

They check for malicious cookies and Trojan horses that seem to elude AV scans.
