Comment:

When I want to save a Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Publisher file, I click 'save as' the window comes up just fine. When I click a directory it takes up to 2.5 mins to open, then I click a folder, it takes up to 2.5 mins to open that. It takes ForEver each time I drill down into a different folder just to save a document. This doesn't happen when I 'save as' using Notepad or Wordpad.

I am not on any network, just a single personal computer. My hard drive has 3 partitions.

Anyone know what Gives?

Thanks for any info

Check that you have plenty of available space (1/2 Gb) on the partition with Windows and also the partition of default save location for Office.
