using vb to move text file to unix

Specs: Windows XP

I have an excel sgeet which has a VB code internally.
this conbination (Excel/VB) produces a text file.
I would like to add a piece of code in order to move/copy the produced text file to a specific path in UNIX environment.
please help if possible

Since we can't see the code you are working with it's kind of tough to offer any specific advice.

I don't know anything about UNIX, but if the path is nothing more than a folder that can be seen from the Windows environment in which the VBA is running, perhaps you can add some SaveAs code to the macro and point it down the right path:

    ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:= _
        "\\C:\root\users\user_name\MyUnixEnvironment\myFile.txt", _
        FileFormat:=xlText, CreateBackup:=False

Here's a question: How do you intend to move the file to the UNIX environment? Windows has tools to interact with other Windows boxes, and UNIX has tools to interact with other UNIX environments, but neither really have tools to seamlessly talk to each other. At least Linux has a SMB support though Samba.
