Hello!
I have the following problem: on a WinXP computer with several user profiles, I Outlook Express seems to adapt to the profiles, but Outlook doesn't. If I add a contact in one (Windows)profile, it is still visible in any other profile. How can I fix this? Outlook Express doesn't seem to have this problem. Thanks in advance.

I've tried it, but nothing happens. Appointments added in one windows profile still keeps showing in the other profiles. I've also tried moving the Outlook.pst file, but no result either. What do I have to do?

You need to have a separate pst file for each user logging into the computer. You DON'T want them to all use the same one. Ideally, the pst file for EACH user should be kept on a separate drive (ie D:\) so that if the machine crashes, the data will be recoverable.
If you need step by step on how to do this, let me know..

I actulaly have the opposite problem... wondering if there's a way to ensure two separate users ARE using hte smae .spt/inbox in Outlook? the separate users seemed nice for separate desktops, etc... but my wife logs in to her profile, and checks email, then if I later do the same in my profile I don't see some important inbox messages - they are ONLY in her profile... any way to share outlook across BOTH XP profiles?

I have the same need, I'd like to set up separate XP accounts for my wife and I, but I'd like to share the same email account. Any way to do this with outlook express?
I know we could just create another email account, but that just makes things more complicated.

Outlook and Outlook Express are different. To use the same profile for Outlook, regardless of the user logged into the machine, move the pst file and store it in a folder all its own.
Right-click the Outlook icon on the desktop, Properties, Data Files, and add the pst file to that list. Make sure there are no other files listed.
That's all you have to do...

Jennifer,
What are the step by step instructions for setting up seperate pst files for different profiles? I am usings Outlook 2003. Thanks ==Tony==
