How do I unprotect Excel Spreadsheet which was created by an ex-employee in Window XP?

If you don't have the password you may be able to copy the data to a new workbook. If not, you'll need a third-party program to unlock it.

I had the same thing happen to me I had to copy the entire workbook to another file when I saved it i just saved it with the same name to overwrite the old one. Seamed to work for me.
