Comment:

I backed up my Outlook files to a .pst file with encryption. On reformatting the hard drive and reloading data, Outlook will not import the .pst files.

"The file *.pst is not compitable with this version of the Personal Folders information service."

On looking at microsoft support it says that this could have been due to the previous version of Outlook being 2003 - now I am loaded 2002. And it cannot load it.

It does give advice by saying "copy the contents of the Outlook 2003.pst file to a .pst file that has not been converted to the Outlook 2003 Unicode format"

The whole point is - how can I as it is an encrypted file that I now can't access. Anyone help me recover all my email stuff?

Thanks

David Shannon

Reload 2003 version, unencrypt, resave or export.
