I was sent a large email with photo attachments (5410 KB). I cannot open it nor can I delete it which I am willing to do. If I click on it (right or left) I get the "program not responding" message and need to shut down completely which I've done several times. Any help is greatly appreciated.

How long have you waited before shutting down and trying again?
It's possible that one part of Windows is telling you that the program is not responding only because the app is taking longer than expected to complete it's task.
Try emptying your Outlook Deleted Items folder then try deleting the email and giving it a lot of time. Go to bed, go to work, go camping. If it's still not responding when you get back, then we'll take it from there.

All items in sent & deleted emails files were deleted; then I tried to delete this email and left it on overnight. This a.m. same message - OE - not responding. I shut down and when I re-opened the message is still there. What else can I try? thanks!
