Specs: Windows Vista
How do you get the following formula to show the "welcome" greeting when you click into excel. I can get it to do it once... but I must be doing something wrong because I want it to show up everytime I open excel.

sub myfirstmacro ()
msgbox ("welcome!")
end sub

Very Confused

That is not a formula. That is a macro.

Please read my response to your other post: Auto Calculating vs. Macros.

The first 2 examples at the site I suggested show how to do exactly what you want to do.

I'll assume that either you didn't read my response, or you didn't review the site I suggested.

OK, then please allow me to offer a small piece of advice to make your stay in the forum a bit more pleasant:

After someone answers your question or offers a solution, it's nice to acknowledge that response with a short "Thanks!" or similar expression of gratitude so that the person knows that his response was seen and possibly considered for use.
