Solved Title line on excel spreadsheet

Specs: Windows 7
How do I add a title to a Spreadsheet? I tried to add a title but I can't get the cells stay the same size in the title if I change the size of the cell below it. When I expand the cell below it, the cell that contains the title also expands and distorts the title.

What you can do is, merge all the cells that span the number of columns you have. for example

if you are using columns A2, B2, C2, D2 and E2 then

highlight cells A1, B1, C1, D1 and E1 and merge, right click 'Format cells", 'Alighnment' merge cells then enter your title in there. This way the title will now span across all the used cells.

Hope this helps.

You'll need to explain what you are doing/trying to do in more detail.

If I put something in A1 and then change the height of B1, nothing happens to A1.

If I change the width of the column, the width of A1 will of course change.

Exactly what are you doing, or perhaps more importantly, what do you want to do?
