Specs: Windows XP
When I type a paragraph, each line begins with a capital letter even though it is not the beginning of a sentence. How can I fix this?

When you type, do you press the carriage return (Enter key) when you reach the right side of the screen or do you let it automatically word wrap?

If your pressing the carriage return (enter key) then in Word it's a new line, just let it word wrap and adjust the margins when your finished.

Are you hitting the Enter key at the end of each line?

If you are, Word assumes you are starting a new sentence/paragraph and will automatically "do you a favor" and capitalize the first letter.

If you just keep typing and let Word wrap the lines for you, you shouldn't get a capital letter.

If for some reason you have to hit the Enter key after each line, you can press Ctrl-z to undo the capitalization as long as you do it right after Word does it's automatic thing.

If you do it once within a paragraph, Word will usually "remember" that you don't want it and not capitalize the first letter even if you use the Enter key.

Problem: In outlook, first letter of a new line is capitalized.
If you are having a problem with Outlook capitalizing the first letter of
a new line, I worked out the solution.
1. Go to file
2. Options
3. Mail
4. Edit Options
5. Autocorrect
6. Uncheck capitalize first letter of sentence. I know this doesn’t sound right, but this has to be turned off to get rid of the problem. Apparently Outlook treat all letter that start on a new line as the first letter in a sentence.

This problem is also in MSWord. To fix it:
Go to file
Options
Proofing
Edit Options
Autocorrect
Uncheck capitalize first letter of sentence.

That's fine, if you are not a poet, who writes short lines.

As soon as any MS Office application capitalizes the first letter of the line (typically as soon as you hit the space bar) press Ctrl-Z to undo the last action.

Since the last "action" was the application automatically capitalizing the letter, Ctrl-Z will undo the capitalization..
