Hello,
I'm trying to make a function using SUMIIFS function with 21 criterias but the below error message appreas
*more arguments have been specified for this function that are allowed in the current file format
Can anyone help with this?

Hi,
Please post the formula that you have written, so that we can see what is causing the error.
(SUMIFS is new to Excel 2007)
Regards

sounds like you might have the spreadsheet saved as a .xls rather than a .xlsx
Make sure you save the workbook as a 2007 file format and you should be fine.
SUMIFS can have up to 127 pairs of data so should work with 21 criteria no problems.

hello
The file is saved as .xlsx
i'll make some changes in the formula and i'll contact u again if i failedthank you all for your help

Since you seem reluctant to give us any info, the only other thing I can suggest is to be aware that each criteria_range must contain the same number of rows and columns as the sum_range.

i'm not reluctant to give u any info
i just noticed that my formula will not give any value even without the error msg, i made a contradictory criteria that will sum up 0 at the end because the criteria will never match.
the formula must be made as the sum of 27 SUMIF formulas not SUMIFS with 27 rang and criteria
i'll just try the other option
thanks
