Hi, I've encountered a very strange problem with outlook. A user copy a dodgy copy of office and installed it on his PC. Everything would work except outlook.
So when I got the PC, I uninstalled office and installed a genuine 2003 version. The problem is - when I go into Outlook, everything is in english EXCEPT the default folder names (inbox, outbox, sent items etc...), which are in spanish! (I'm in Ireland, and the computer has never been set to spanish or anything like that)... I checked all the settings in outlook, and they're fine.
I then uninstalled office again, and deleted all records of it in the registry. I reinstalled, and have the same problem. I know it's not a problem with the office package, as it's my own genuine copy, and I haven't got the same problem on my laptop.
Just wondering if anyone has encountered the same problem, and if so, any solutions??
Cheers,

Does this happen for all users who login to the computer? Have you tried creating a new Mail Delivery pst?
I'd be removing that user's account from the Local Admin Group as well. :)

A new mail delivery pst? Would that affect the language of the default folders??? It's for a home user so no admin group.... Well one, and its him!!

I don't know if it would fix the problem or not. That's why I suggested it. :)

Tried the new mail delivery pst, but to no avail... Also tried
Start -> Run -> outlook /resetfoldernames
but they reset to spanish again! weird or what! Could this be a software problem??
