Good morning.
I am operating with Microsoft Outlook 2002 version 10.2605.2605. Our firm connects to the Internet over a high speed business connection.
I just sent an e-mail as follows:
From: Me
To: Recipient
Subject: Your Order
Attachment: an order pdfI got back an e-mail in my Inbox as follows:
From: nothing specified
To: Me
Subject: Your Order
Attachment: My "Your Order" E-mailNow, how does this happen that I get an e-mail apparently from no one to myself and it's MY e-mail I just sent to someone?
Does anyone know the cause of this and how to remedy it? This is the second time in a week this has happened.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Steve

Have you checked your Rules? What does the Header indicate?
Life is more painless for those who are brainless.

I don't have any rules that would do what I'm describing. In addition, I have sent this type of e-mail with a pdf attachment about 300 times in the past 3 months and this has happened only twice.
I believe this has more to do with the ISP and their servers than it does with my Outlook but, that's why I'm asking. I want to see if anyone out there has experience with this and might know the answer.
Thanks.

I would guess that it is the recipients email server/filter that is bouncing the message back to you - thinking that the message is spam.
You can check the headers of the email to determine where the message originated.
Open the email in a separate window and then select View<Options. At the bottom of the dialog that appears there will be a box will all the message headers. The original server that sent the message should be listed towards the bottom.
