Hi I am looking for a good reference book that would explain installing/setting up and running SQL server. Does anyone have any recomendations.

Also Can i install SQL server on a regular PC or does it need to be installed on a server?

Skip the books and paruse the web. Here's a good link for SQL Setup:

SQL can be installed on anything. I've installed SQL2k on a DeskPro P1 166mhz for a backup server in our cold site. For 2 users it was just fine.
