Here are a few things to try:

In your formulas check that you have used only the range necessary,
NOT the whole Row or Column.
If your in the habit of using something like A:A in ranges
then your using 1,048,576 rows. That's a lot of processing.

If you have Conditional Formatting, again, check to make sure you are using
only those Row's and Columns necessary and there are no stray formatting
floating about.

You could also Copy only the used cells into a new worksheet.
Some files may be bigger than necessary due to extra cells without any content being included in the worksheet

Thank you for taking time to help me solve my Excel 2010 spreadsheet problem. I checked the range of the formulas and they are within the limits of cells I normally work with.

I do not have any conditional formatting on this spreadsheet.

I just copied only the used cells to a new worksheet and it seems to be working good so far. I would like to give it time to be sure that it will continue to work better. If it does, you solved my problem!

Have a merry Christmas!

Your suggestion worked! I copied just the cells of the worksheet and not the columns or the rows. I gave it some time to be sure that it works and it does. Praise the Lord!

Have a happy new year.
