I'm currently running office 2003 and i'm trying to reduce the amount of printed pages for my worksheets. Currently, my worksheet looks like this:

You could set up a separate sheet that gets the values from the first sheet where the data is in a single column.
Or another way would be to link the spreadsheet to a word document where you have columns set up.

ASAP Utilities add-in is free and provides ~300 funtions not native to Excel. One of those functions found under Format is "The Paper Saver (Split columns)". Works a treat for printing columns and saving paper.
Installing the utility does cause Excel to open a little more slowly but I find it to be worth it. I don't use it's functions too often but when I need one of them it is really handy to have.
