Ok I have a Dell 2002 inspiron 2650 a bit old but good for what I am doing the problem that I have is that I had to reinstall windows and I lost all my data including what made me be able to use my magicjack when I connect it to the usb it says not to unplug so it can I guess download the applications, but then it says that there is some kind of illegal message when I press ignore it closes up. I don't understand because prior to my having to reinstall windows everything was working fine.

Thanks

Record that message and post what it shows.

Can you plug in any other USB devices successfully since reinstalling Windows?
