I have several subfolders for different companies set up under my contacts list, but when I try to search for a name in them, it doesn't find anything. It will only find what is in the main contact folder I guess, and not the subfolders. Has anybody heard of this problem or can anyone suggest a solution? Thanks for any help!!

In the Folder list, or in the contacts portion of the navigation pane, right click on your main contact folder, then select properties. Go to the activities tab. Select Contacts from the list of folder groups and hit modify. Expand the contacts folder tree and check all the subfolders you wish to use while selecting names. Then hit OK to save all your settings in that box, then again in the properties box.
This wont make them all appear on the "contacts" list when selecting names, however. You will have to select the list on the drop-down box titled "show names from the:". then it will show all the contacts in that sub folder.
One final note, unless you do an advanced find, which you can only do from the Tools menu, you can only search the current folder for contacts. You have to be in the subfolder generated list when you are selecting names to send new messages or forward messages to a contact. You may find it useful to categorize your contacts as business or personal, then sort by company and keep them all in the main folder. The categories are collapsable (I use phone list view)so you dont have to look through all your business contacts to email a friend. If you do this though, you will have to remember names since you cant see the company in the select names fields. I dont think that dialog box is even customizable. If you wont be able to remember who your contact is at each company, its best to leave it the way you have it, and remember to set it up to list in the address book as described above.
