Saving emails as .msg , not .htm

I am using Outlook 2000 on a Win2k system. I need to be able to save certain emails to a seperate folder on the server. I always need to change the File Type to Message Format (*.msg) from the default of HTML (*.htm).
Is there a way, or registry hack, that always sets the File Type as Message Format whenever I click File, Save as?
