I have Micro Outlook 2002 and when I try to save a jpeg or gif in my email I'm only allowed the option of bmp, no other options in the drop down box.
I had this problem with Paint years ago and there was a regedit fix. Is there a reg edit fix for this as well? Or another option?

Try emptying your Temporary internet files folder. IE Tools, Internet Options, Temporary internet files, Delete files button with Yes to Offline files.

Bryco, I had done that and still I had only the BMP option. Also deleted unknown & corrupt files in the view file folder.
Jennifer I don't really understand why you are sending me to the security stuff? I can recieve and view my attachments, I just can't save gifs or jpgs any way except as bmp's. Sorry I just don't understand.

Thankful - looks like the solution to the problem is found here: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web/Graphics/Q_20907830.html
Although it also looks like you have to pay to view it. Let me know if you find the solution... it annoys me too!

Hi Jayden,
I did sign up for the limited only to find out to get the answer to that you have to pay $10.00/mth... not into it.
There must be another way. Thanks for all your help guys... so far nuffin's worked
I even did the regedit, copied it word for word and still my only option is .bmp
