I am looking to have a batch file run when new information is entered into a given spreadsheet
in an excel workbook.

I want to be able to alert specific users of a shared work book that new information has been added through the "net send" command. The batch file is no problem just dont know how to get it to execute.

thanks,

Naw I couldn't get it to work either but what about doing it the other way round - start excel from within the batch file that says it is in use, you can even link the batchfile to a desktop icon
