Hello, I have two computers one is wired and one is wireless to a Linksys WRT54G v. 2 router. Neither can send emails from Outlook 2007. When I connect the computer directly to the modem, sending works perfectly, which leads me to believe it is a router issue. I have the latest firmware, and have also modified port target forwarding to include email. Nothing seems to be working. I've disabled the AVG antivirus as I read that can cause conflicts, but still does not send. Any help you can provide would be aprreciated.

We had the same issue the other day and we were able to get around it by using a different smtp server. We are setup to use IMAP for our email protocol. If you find a solution, please post the resolution. We are using the same router, so I wonder if it is a router issue. I was thinking it had to do with the ISP since the user sending the email was not a user from our company. Jr. Sys

Came back into the office this morning and could send emails again just fine. I'm wondering if the router has a volume limit on the number of emails? And perhaps thought we were spamming and denied us access for a period of time?

More likely your ISP. If it's AT&T, get used to it (e-mail) going down about twice a month. Coming home from very lonely places, all of us go a little mad: whether from great personal success, or just an all-night drive, we are the sole survivors of a world no one else has ever seen. -
