Specs: Windows 7 home premium 64bit, INTRL(R) Core(TM) i7-3610QM /8GB

I recently had my computer re-imaged and the backup is not returning all the files to there original pasition. So I have a copy of the wab file but can't seem to get it back into outlook without manualy entering them. I can't find the directory where outlook keeps the file .

If the Contacts are in a wab file, then that's not an Outlook Address Book; it's used by Outlook Express. Did you originally have Windows 7? The reason I ask is because Outlook Express wasn't included with Internet Explorer versions 7 and newer.

Regardless, Outlook keeps all the eMails, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, etc in a pst file. If you want to import a wab file into Outlook, all you need to do is to run the Import Wizard.

Thank you Jennifer,
I should have said that I also have a contacts file as well.I tried to import the contacts without success as outlook couldn't find the file.I found the pst file but couldn't open it or copy anything to it.Anyhow I decided to uninstall outlook and install windows live e-mail and it has somehow found a copy of my contacts somewhere so I will continue to use it for now.Thank you again for your help.
