Comment:

When Word 2003 is already open and a user clicks on File/New, a sidebar opens offering Blank doc, html, xml, etc.

Can this be changed to just open a blank doc without the extra step?

I'm not sure if that can be disabled; a little research is in order.

Why not just have your user click on the "New Blank Document" icon on the Standard toolbar?

It's only one click rather than three. :)

Life is more painless for those who are brainless.
