Removing Link in Excel

I have magically acquired a Link in a workbook to another workbook. The 2 workbooks are completely isolated from each other and there is no real link. Everytime I bring up the one workbook it has a message about being linked to the other and Do I want to update. I know where the link is but am unable to delete it. All Edit Links will let me do is Update or Change xource but no delete option. Is there an option somewhere I can use. TYhanks..Gary Hardy.

Click on or select the cell that contains the link. Go to Edit, Copy, Paste Special, Values.
The link will be gone.

The problem is that I have no way of knowing which cell supposedly has the link. I just activated the file and this time chose the "update" option. Nothing happened but now I don't get the link anymore. Another magic moment in Windows. Thanks..Gary Hardy
