In Outlook 2000, using HTML as mail format... I'd like to use stationery (background), but withouht the image been repeated! I want to write text in the picture (christmas card) but it looks silly because the picture repeats itself.

thank you

Jonathan,

One way to do this would be to create your own stationery file. It's pretty easy. Open Notepad, and put this into a blank file:

< img src="myimage.gif">

(but with no space between the "<" and the "img").

Instead of myimage.gif put the name of your christmas card picture.

Then save that into the Stationery directory (it's C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery on my PC, and probably on yours.) You'll need to name it with something ending ".htm", for example "christmascard.htm".

Put a copy of your image into the same directory.

Then, in Outlook, use Actions | New Mail Message Using | More Stationery

and in the list you should see christmascard as an option.

That should do it.
