Comment:

I have an annoyance where Outlook 2003 give me the error "Outlook has encountered and needs to close..." but this only happens (everytime) after i close it.

I figure I need to reinstall Office. I have applied SP2 and all updates for Office 2003. My questions:

If i reinstall Office to original state, apply SP2 again will Windows XP know that the preiously applied updates to Office are not valid?

Will MS update site recognize that even tho updates might be in add/remove programs, they re not valid and find the proper updates again?

If you uninstall Office, it will take the updates with it. They will then need to be reinstalled as well. If you choose to do a Repair, the updates should stay put, but still may need to be reinstalled as some of the files could be overwritten by the Repair..

Life is more painless for those who are brainless.
