Receive Items sent to deleted items folder

I am currently receiving emails in my deleted items folder. I do not have a "rule" set up for this and can't understand why this is happening. This did start after I deleted a rule. Perhaps I deleted a rule incorrectly? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? thanks in advance.

Jennifer thans for your post. It turns out my problem no longer exists. I didn't delete the rules correctly. Once I deleted them I restarted my outlook and it's fixed! I'm so relieved. I'll close out this post now...
