I am backing up my QB 2004 pro and sending a CD to my accountant. She cannot get it to restore. If I backup on my system and restore no problem for me. If she backups files on her system and restores no problem. However, she cannot take a CD from me and restore the files. Any ideas on how to fix?

1. Are you both using the same version of QBP?

2. If restore is not working for her, try copying the data file itself rather than giving her a backup.

In Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks Pro:

Scroll down until you find "your file name".qbw, burn that file to a CD.

Again, she will have to have the same version to read it.

Hello Martin

She can have a newer version that I do correct?

I will try the *.qbw but I believe we have tried this before.

I have sent her *.qbb and whatever the "accountants copy" is
